홀덴, 와일드 핫 로드 - EFIJY

호주, 홀덴사가 최근 시드니에서 개최된 호주모터쇼에 1953년형 FJ(EF-JAY)를 현대적으로 재해석한 컨셉트 모델을 공개했다.

FJ(EF-JAY)는 우아하고 역동적인 보디라인과 뛰어난 성능으로 호주인의 사랑을 한 몸에 받은 모델이었다.

길이×너비×높이, 5162×1999×1386mm의 커다란 사이즈와 전통적인 와일드 핫 로드 스타일의 보디는 보는 이로 하여금 경외심마저 느끼게 한다. 휠 사이즈는 프론트 20인치, 리어 22인치 알로이휠.

기계적인 부분은 시보레 모델을 바탕으로 개발되었다. 코르벳 섀시를 700mm 늘여 제작하였고 서스펜션은 공기압 가변식 댐퍼를 적용했다.

수퍼차저를 더한 6.0리터 LS2 V8엔진은 최고출력 645마력에 최대토크 775Nm(4,200rpm)를 자랑하고 4단 AT와 LSD를 조합했다.

아쉽게도 양산계획이 없기 때문에 이 우아한 디자인의 오스트레일리안 핫 로드카를 손에 넣을 기회는 없을 듯 하다.
