포르쉐 스페셜리스트로 잘 알려진 테크아트(Techart)가 911(997) 터보에 날개를 달았다.
다음 달 에센(Essen)모터쇼에 출품할 테크아트의 911 터보는 기존 에어로파츠에 퍼포먼스 키트를 적용하여 내외공을 동시에 업그레이드 했다.
수차례 윈드 터널 테스트를 거쳐 완성된 테크아트의 에어로파츠는 고속 주행에서 그 진가를 발휘한다. 베이스 모델의 우아함을 그대로 유지하면서 개성을 강조한 디자인이 새로운 가치를 말해준다.
에어인테이크 사이즈를 키워 공격적인 앞모습은 언더 스포일러를 적용해 앞 축이 떠오르는 것을 방지하여 안정된 주행성을 확보했다.
프론트 범퍼에서 자연스럽게 이어진 사이드 실로 차체를 보다 길고 낮게 보이도록 설계하였고 전용 사이드 뷰 미러 몰딩을 적용해 포인트를 주었다.
루프 스포일러와 대형 리어 스포일러, 리어 디퓨저는 빠른 속도로 주행할 때 다운포스를 만들어 안정된 그립을 확보하는데 도움을 주며 오벌 사이즈의 트윈 배기 시스템을 적용하고 있다.
전자식으로 댐핑 감쇠력과 차고를 조절할 수 있는 테크아트 바리오플러스 코일오버 타입 서스펜션을 적용해 차체를 최대 20mm 까지 낮출 수 있고 스테빌라이저와 크로스 맴버를 보강했다.
휠과 타이어는 19인치부터 20인치까지 다양한 모델을 선택할 수 있으며 최상급 모델은 원-피스 타입의 20인치 휠(앞:8.5Jx20, 12Jx20)과 ContiSportContact 3 타이어(앞:245/30 ZR 20, 뒤:325/25 ZR 20) 이다.
3.6리터 트윈터보 복서 엔진을 개량해 최고출력을 580마력으로 향상시켰다. 기본 모델의 출력이 480마력 부근이기 때문에 상당한 차이를 보인다. 강력한 엔진을 바탕으로 0-100km/h를 3.46초 만에 주파하며 최고시속은 339km/h에 달한다.
